Arianespace readies Vega Flight VV03 for liftoff tonight with KasEOSat-1

The Vega mission with Kazakhstan’s first Earth observation satellite is set for tonight following an inspection of the launcher’s payload’s ventilation umbilical on the SLV launch site at the Spaceport in French Guiana.

Arianespace had observed non-compliant behavior of this umbilical after the mobile gantry’s withdrawal yesterday during the original countdown – resulting in a 24-hour postponement of Flight VV03.

The mission will loft KasEOSat-1 (also known as DZZ-HR), which was built by Airbus Defence and Space for the Republic of Kazakhstan
